Anime Boston '05
I would like to start off with one thing. This was one of the best cons I’ve been to in … forever. I met a lot of cool people I hope to see again.
Thursday night:
David came over to spend the night and it was basically him
mocking Fatal Frame (IT’S SCARY NOT LAME) and him teaching me how to say the
prince of tennis school names and it’s characters. Damn do I hate that… rich
school. We rested and slept and it was very relaxing.
Friday:
7am we’re all up and running around. Rushing to stuff the
bags in the car and set it up for two dogs in the car. David and I slept in the
back most of the ride there. Stopping twice for breakfast. I only had a hash
brown, he ate more than I did. FINALLY. After 5 hours of driving we get into

I ended up getting Scott McNeil’s sign for “Boston Tour Guide” for the party guest thing because I walked around as Riku.
I recorded most of it and will post it later. After ward I met up with David and rested with him in the convention center fro a while. We wondered around during the AMV’s. I decided to go back to my room and change into my Kimono. Which didn’t cease to lift up when the wind blew. At night we went back to my room. Took a shower and laid down. David and Eiji joined Tina and I in watching the Prince of Tennis musicals and backstage. 2am we finish Dream live with fan subbing.
Eiji: This Eiji is very hyper.. too hyper… what did they feed him nothing but sugar for a week? If he stops all the energy will build up and his head will explode?
David fell asleep in my room (as did the rest of us) but I helped him back to his around… 3? Collapsed in bed at almost 4.
BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS TYPING ON THE COMPUTER AND PLAYING BURNING LOVE.
Saturday:
At 7am we get up, straighten our hair “You got gei!” and get into costume. Tina doesn’t want to do
Ed because they’re too many. I get in Tomoyo and get a call from my parents
that we’re changing rooms. Why? Some sicko is calling my parents room about how
he got no rest because the dogs kept barking and threatened them so incase he
slipped some poison under the door we switched it so I got that room… Then I headed
to Maddie’s room where she gets into Erol. Hannah’s fixing up lee and Sarah’s
dressing in Rubby Moon and J-F as … the guy from The Magic Users Club (great
memory! Go me!) We all wonder along with Dan to the dealers room and get
things! I GOT YAOOOI. GOLDEN PAIR YAOI OH BABY IT’S PARTY! Being so incredibly
happy I want ice cream for breakfast darnit. So after much proding and poking
we all go to get breakfast. I was only able to eat a little bit of my ice cream
before I felt sick and I couldn’t have that. David came down and I saw he wasn’t
feeling good so I brought him to my room since I was changing into PJ Wufei and
made him rest there for the day. I was going to spend the afternoon with him
after I got Scott McNeil’s autograph but… but… Tina got on line for me so I
didn’t get there until 1:00. The signing was at 2:00. We had a LOOOOONG line
ahead of us. But it wouldn’t take long, right? WRONG. I WAITED IN LINE FROM
1:00PM – 5:44PM WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. I did meet amazing people including
Digi-co, Duo, Duo from last year, Trowa, Kenshin (Nick) Yuna (A FF character I
can touching without burning) and Sonzo! We enjoyed our insanity including our
reasons why we’re in line waiting for Scott McNeil’s autograph. DED. I hadn’t
eaten all day and at 4:30 was shaking horribly. We got moved to another floor
because of Yoko Ishida’s signings. After hours of waiting it’s my turn. I
bugged the Duo I was with and he said “Ahh, a Wufei cosplayer… I’ve been on the
receiving end of that plenty of times… I know your kind…” Well when I got up
there I told him of my friend Chantel and how she made the plushies for me. HE
REMEMBERED HER! So kind. He asked why I was shaking and I told him because I
hadn’t had any food. He gave my a PB&J sandwich and took my hands and made
me promise I would eat. That he wasn’t worth not eating over. He asked me what
was with the sign. I showed it to him and told him how Tina waited in line for
me and was in line at the Masquerade He signed the sign for Tina and I went
yay! Kawaiiii. We hugged and got pictures and love. I ran back to the room to
pick up food and slip into fan girl and check on David. I rant back out to get
on line and proceeded to collapse on the floor where Eiji helped me up. Got
seated, recorded

I didn’t stay to see the winners but went back up to the room to rest with David. It was 8:30 and I laid with him till 12 when I went to the dance. I met up with Maddie and friends and danced like there was no tomorrow. Scott McNeil was there and I joined his circle of fans and danced with him. I was so tired I left an hour later and went back to the room where I collapsed in bed next to David. I don’t remember what happened, I was feeling so sick and I was in such a delusional state I had no idea what was going on.
Sunday:
8am I wake up and rush around realizing I fell asleep before
I could shower or pack. Get in normal clothes and walk around the convention
center. Get a doughnut, fwee! Go to the artist alley and get a picture of the
GP commissioned (KAWAIII) David said to stop by his room so I did, saying good
morning to everyone. We went to the dealers room and I got one thing and he got
plushies. (I’m plushied out as Tina got like 20 herself) Maddie called to say
come up to get his bags since they were emptying their room now. We got his
stuff and dumped it in my parents room and went back to the dealers room. I got
a call from Tina saying my picture was done so we went in and I got my picture
and another one. She’s such an amazing artist! We went back to my room and
rested on the bed for 5 minutes when we had to move my stuff to my parents
room. Tina waited for her sister where she would move her stuff out. No trolleys
where available so we had to carry everything by hand to the lobby where I
watched it until our car was ready. We plowed into the car and passed out. I
felt so sick… we didn’t eat until we were an hour out of NY where David and I inhaled
food. We took him home and came home where I sit now…
The convention was a lot of fun and as we speak I’m putting together the video of
- Random events
- The top guy from the company that has rights from Macross singing
- Bad Luck in concert
- YMCA at masquarde
Now I go back for school and pass out in bed.
Tomorrow I’ll get Who’s Line is it Anime? On file as well.
